What to do Before & After...
Which service(s) are you having done?
Find your service below and follow these steps for the best results!
Hair Removal (Body) - Before:
1. Hair on the body must be 1/16th of an inch long (size of a grain of rice) which is approximately 1-2 weeks hair growth. The hair must have some length in order for the paste to grab and remove it. If the hair is not long enough, hair removal will not be possible.
2. Do not shave the day before your appointment. If you do not have hair, the paste does not have anything to grab. NOTE: if you shave too close to your appointment and we are not able to remove the hair, you are responsible for paying the full service fee.
3. Do not moisturize the area being serviced for 24 hours before your appointment. If you do, the paste will not stick and hair removal will not be possible.
4. You can exfoliate 24 hours before your appointment, however, please ensure it does not contain moisturizer or oils. If the skin and hair is moisturized, the paste will not stick and removal will not be possible.
5. Wear loose fitting clothing to your appointment.
Hair Removal (Body) - After:
1. Do not exfoliate for 24 hours.
2. After 24 hours has passed, you should exfoliate at least 3 times per week. Daily exfoliation is ideal.
3. After exfoliation, please moisturize at least 3 times per week. Daily moisturizing is ideal.
4, Avoid sun exposure for 24 hours. If it cannot be avoided, please ensure ample amounts of sunscreen is applied. Your skin is more susceptible to burning after being Sugarbrig'd.
5. Avoid hot tubs and swimming pools for 24 hours. If it cannot be avoided, please ensure to shower and wash thoroughly.
6. Avoid the gym for 24 hours. Your pores will be open and sweat and dirt can get into the pores and cause irritation and ingrowns. If it cannot be avoided, please ensure to shower and wash thoroughly.
7. Do not exfoliate over active ingrown hairs as this will spread the bacteria into your open pores and cause more irritation/ingrowns. We recommend using Tend Skin for active ingrowns.
8. Please use an abrasive exfoliant. It needs to be strong enough to remove dead skin to leave space for new hair growth. We recommend our Sugar Scrub or Loofah for exfoliating.
